Good evening all. I hope your Monday has been fabulous.
Today was a challenge. Waking at 6:00 was the easy part. I had my pre-workout meal (less the veggies because I was only home for about 24 hours before I had to leave again and I forgot to buy spinach). An hour later I got my workout in which was the same but different from last Monday. I did the same exercises but 3 sets of each with fewer reps each set. My body is tired. My muscles are sore and I did NOT feel strong. However, my mind is much stronger than I give it credit. I NEVER wanted to quit but I couldn’t wait for it to be over.
As for my nutrition…I didn’t have nearly the amount of veggies or fruit I am supposed to have in a day. I didn’t have all the carbs I’m supposed to have and I had too much protein at dinner.
Today, I flew into Florida for a meeting with my amazing sales team. Flying is always a challenge. I had one of the Starbucks in the DFW airport mix my shakeology and for whatever reason, they felt it was necessary to add some kind of syrup to it (claiming that it would have messed up their blender if they hadn’t). WHATEVER!!!! I was frustrated but at least I got my shake in. I was picked up at the airport and taken to the hotel and by this time it was nearing dinner time. I had half a blue container of walnuts and then soon we were off to a place down the street for wings. That was my dinner. I know my challenge group will not be proud of this. I should have had a salad or something but I was craving the protein. I’m really grateful that I got my exercise in today and tomorrow morning, early, I’ll be heading to the store to get more foods to be better prepared for the remainder of the week. My job will be the biggest challenge for me in this 80 day program. I travel almost weekly and have to entertain customers and that makes the nutrition hard. BUT, I will not veer too far off from what I’m supposed to do.
