My apologies for not getting my blog up from yesterday until this morning. It was a long day. I’ll will do my due diligence to make sure they are up daily.
Today is Wednesday and I’m feeling it from these workouts. This morning’s workout was Cardio Core and I don’t know about you guys, but cardio and I are NOT friends. I’ve always wanted to be better with cardio. I’ve tried running, I’ve tried Orange Theory Fitness, I’ve tried so many programs in the Beachbody library and I don’t know that I will ever have a “love” for cardio. What I do have for it is RESPECT! Cardio is so important and over the past year of more consistent training than I’ve EVER had, my cardio is markedly better than it has ever been. For this, I walk proud and find gratitude. However, there is always room for improvement. There is a hill in my neighborhood, in Colorado Springs, that I have a goal to be able to jog to the top of. If you’ve ever been to CO, then you know that the air is very thin there and cardio is much more challenging for even some of the most elite athletes. My hometown even has one of the largest Olympic training facilities for that purpose. That being said, if I can make it to the top of that hill at the end of these 80 days, I will have accomplished a feat I only ever dreamed possible. And I truly, with all my heart, believe that I will fulfill that goal.
Nutrition today was pretty darn good. I moved a couple of meals around due to timing issues with seeing customer and appointments lasting longer than expected. I think I missed a fruit serving today…I’m OK with that. I had plenty of food, never felt like I was starving and stuck to my meal plan ALL day. That’s a win for me. Because I’m staying in a hotel and cooking on my little kitchenette stove, I’m not really recording any of my meal prep. More to come visually on that later. Until tomorrow friends…I’m tired.
